Alice F. Stewart papers, 1911-1948 (bulk 1917-1919).

The collection consists of papers of Alice F. Stewart from ca. 1911-1948. The papers include letters and postcards to Stewart mainly from soldiers (predominately French) whom she nursed as part of the Anglo-French Red Cross Corps at the Arc-en-Barrois Hospital, Haute Marne, France during World War I. The letters were written either from the front or from their homes after the soldiers had been discharged from the military.
